Ella is still loving gymnastics! Her class has gotten so big that her teacher decided to move the soon-to-be three-year olds up to a separate class. Parents aren't allowed to be with their children during this class so I was worried that she wouldn't pay attention. She did great! Last week was her first week by herself and I was so proud! She is very cautious and a bit of a perfectionist so it takes her a while to complete each activity. Her teacher Mrs. Amy says that she is doing great and we are so proud of her!
At the first of the year we decided to transition Ella to her big bed. She was still doing great with the crib (not trying to climb out or anything) but I thought she might be a little cramped in there so it was time. She was soooo excited! She has done great with it! We were a little sad...moving to a big bed was a big reminder to us that she is not a baby anymore!
After some shopping on Friday, Ella and I decided to make our first batch of Christmas cookies. One of her favorite things to do is to get the rolling pin out and pretend she is making cookies, so I thought it was time to let her try it for real! She did really well (except for the flour everywhere) and our cookies turned out tasty! This is the best time of year! Notice the grin in the second picture. This is the smile I get when I tell her to say, "cheese".
Ella loves to pull everything out of her "accessories" drawer and put them all on. I went to check my email for a few minutes and came back to find this. Quite the fashion sense, don't you think?
Each fall we enjoy taking Ella to the fair. She loves the rides...especially the race cars. We had to ride them 3 times! Check out her new bubble gun. She used the whole bottle of bubbles in minutes!
I am a school counselor, a wife and a mom to a precious little girl named Ella. I enjoy spending lots of time with my family, working with students, trying new recipes, shopping and reading.
