Kiawah Trip

Our family spent the week in Kiawah last week. It was so peaceful and relaxing! We rode bikes and spent much of our time being lazy on the beach. Ella had a virus the first part of the week so she wasn't much into playing in the sand but once she was feeling better she loved it! We had a wonderful week and did not want to come back home!

We went into Charleston for the day and had fun walking and shopping. We stopped by the Battery and it was a nice shady retreat from the heat of Charleston!

Ella was mesmerized by the seashells. We went early one morning and found some great ones!


Ella loved the beach! She had fun putting all of her toys in the bucket and then emptying them out and then doing it all over again and again!

I'm 1!!!!!

Happy Birthday to me! I had my first Birthday party cookout at the park yesterday and had so much fun. All of my family and friends were there to help me celebrate. Today I celebrated with my grandparents at lunch. I have had a wonderful Birthday weekend but I am worn out from all of the festivities! My mommy and daddy can't believe I am one. It has been a wonderful year full of lots of fun and great memories!

Ella's Dedication

This was the most special Mother's Day I could ever have! Ella was dedicated at our church this morning. She wore a beautiful white gown that my grandmother made for her. It was so sweet and special...what a wonderful way to start my first Mother's Day! Ella and "Daddy" also gave me a digital frame for my desk when I go back to work next year so that I can "see" Ella all day. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful family. I love being your Mommy Ella!

My new activity

My new favorite thing to do is open and close doors. It doesn't matter what kind...I love them all, especially my kitchen door. I smashed my finger in the bedroom door so mommy doesn't let me play with those much anymore. Here are a few pics of me in action!

Stop and Smell the Flowers

This spring has been so beautiful and Ella has really enjoyed being outside. Her favorite things to do are to ride in her wagon and her car! There are so many new things for her to see, hear (and taste!).

I started crawling this week...finally! I have been practicing a lot and am getting pretty fast! Watch out world!
