Skating Party

Today was Ella's friend Brantley's birthday party at the skating rink. Brantley is one of the little girls at Ella's daycare. Ella has never been skating so it was quite amusing. She could only take about 20 minutes and then she was ready to be on steady ground. Happy Birthday Brantley! We had so much fun at your Tinkerbell skating party!

First Ice Cream Cone

At dinner the other night we were brave and let Ella try her ice cream on a cone. Luckily I had my camera with me...priceless!

Baking Cupcakes

Every year for V-day we bake cupcakes for the grandparents. This year we did red velvet with cream cheese frosting and heart sprinkles. Ella was in charge of the sprinkles. I made her some mini cupcakes just for her and they were just the perfect size. She has already learned that the frosting is the best part so she ate the tops off of all of them!

Pajama Day

It was pajama day at Mrs. Benita's house the other day. Ella wanted to wear her ladybug ones. They had pancakes and read bedtime stories! I wish they had stuff like this for adults!!

Not so snowy snow day!

Despite the lack of snow we still had fun on our snow day today! We went out for a little and then came in to warm up and watch movies. I love lazy snow days!

Charleston Trip

Scott had his annual conference in Charleston this past weekend and despite the bitter cold, Ella and I went anyway. I was worried that she would get bored being in the hotel room all weekend but she did really well. On Saturday since we couldn't really walk around downtown I decided to take her to the Children's Museum which kept her occupied for 3 hours! It was really fun watching her explore and learn. Aunt Gaby and Uncle Chuck were there for the weekend too so it was nice to get to hang out with them as well.

Sesame St. Live!

We took Ella to see Sesame St. Live on Thursday night and we had a blast. We were so pleased at how well she did! She got a little squirmy at the end but it lasted for one and a half hours so that was to be expected. This is her favorite show right now and she can name all of them. Her favorites are Elmo, Bert and Ernie and Abby Cadabby. It was so cute during the "Elmo's World" scene when Mr. Noodle came she hollered out "Mr. Noon-le" really loud. I laughed so hard! She is talking so well these days but some of her pronunciations are so darn CUTE!!! There was a scene where Baby Bear wants to be a conductor on a Choo-Choo Train and it must have been Ella's favorite part because it's all she has talked about since we left the show. Every time she looks at her program from the show she says "choo-choo train" over and over.
