Bird Feeder

Ella made a pinecone bird feeder at daycare and we decided to hang it up in the backyard for the birdies. We found the perfect place for it on our holly tree. We can't wait to watch the birdies enjoy their seeds!

Potty Time

I have to share our potty experience with you! We have been sitting Ella on the potty each night before she takes a bath to get her used to it. Sunday night I sat her on there and she went poo-poo in the potty! We got so excited and Ella just thought it was the greatest thing. I don't think she understands exactly what the potty is yet but when we sit her on there she does say "pee-pee" and "poo-poo" so we are getting close to start really potty training. I know this was just a random coincidence but we were super excited!

I love ketchup!

We have discovered that Ella loves ketchup! I used to brag that she ate everything and was not picky but she sure has changed recently. At first I was really frustrated but since I started using ketchup she eats pretty well. Ranch dressing works well for veggies too!

Mimi's Birthday

Yesterday we went to Union to celebrate Mimi's Birthday. We went early and spent the whole day with her. Then all the family and extended family met for dinner and some cake! It was nice to see everyone that we haven't seen lately. Mimi had a great time as well! Poor Aidan! I always catch him with his mouth open!

15 month wellness visit

Ella had her 15 month exam today and she is doing great! Still not walking but her doctor said not to worry. She started walking behind her walker 2 weeks ago so I am looking for her to let go anyday now. She was in the 75th percentile for height which is low because up until this point she has always been in the 95th! She is 24 lbs. which puts her in the 75th for weight as well. She got her shots today and it was NOT fun. She has always done so well with shots but this time she sobbed for 2 hours! I couldn't get her to eat lunch or drink very much. She finally cried herself to sleep as I was rocking her. Pitiful!!! It is so hard watching her cry knowing that I can't do anything to make her feel better. I sure tried though! Hopefully when she wakes she will be back to her happy self!

Riverbanks Zoo

We had a play date at the zoo today with our friends Kate and Bruce. This was the first time for them at the zoo and they loved it! Ella's favorite animals were the flamingos and the giraffes. We haven't seen them in several months so it was great to catch up and to watch Ella and Bruce play with each other. They were much more interested in each other than in the animals!

Lollipop

Ella enjoyed her first lollipop over the weekend. As you can see from the pictures, she wasn't into it at first. But after a few licks she loved it! She hit it on the side of the chair and broke it and then it was easier for her to eat in pieces. She is so much fun...everyday is full of laughter with her!
